Since students first walked through our gates in 2008 we have immersed our students in digitally rich learning environments. As our school grows and the world changes we too are changing the manner in which we encourage our students to interact with the school, local and greater community. Our school uses Apple technology to allow our students to utilise all the 'Cs' of technology integration in a school setting-Creation, Consumption, Communication, Collaboration and Critical thinking.
At Coomera Springs State School our families are provided the opportunity to join a 1:1 Student iPad program. The program is a Year 2 to Year 6 commitment funded by families that take place from Year 2 to Year 6 (parents have the ability to opt in at other points if new to the school)
Parents can purchase a device which meets the minimum specifications. The device is managed in a multi-faceted way with the school being able to push applications to the student device. The program provides students access to tailored learning episodes which utilise the iOS platform yet remains flexible enough to also have students engaging in more traditional learning.
